No-exam life insurance
Eligibility for expedited underwriting, the process involved, and differences if you don't qualify.
Numerous insurers provide expedited underwriting: applicants meeting age and coverage thresholds receive a decision through application review, pharmacy records, driving history and similar resources, bypassing the doctor visit. Rulings sometimes arrive within hours. Every quote here indicates whether an exam is mandatory, conditional, or unnecessary for each product.
What it changes
No-exam underwriting does not eliminate verification. Statements in your application undergo checking, and any policy built on false information is contestable for the first two years. Should the insurer's records prompt concerns, it may nonetheless require an examination or testing; you retain the choice to proceed at that stage.
Who tends to qualify
Commonly, applicants in their fifties or younger, requesting coverage below each carrier's expedited threshold, lacking significant health issues and tobacco-free for twelve months or longer qualify. Some insurers will take results from a recent medical visit including lab work instead of requiring an exam.
Should an exam be necessary, expect a twenty to thirty minute appointment with a paramedic at your home or workplace in the Turlock region, at no charge. For applicants in good health, exam results frequently yield better rate classification, so an exam can turn into an advantage.
